Back to Our Roots

Globe Clothing was one of Hartington’s oldest businesses, dating back to 1876. It was rebuilt in 1901 after a fire devastated much of downtown Hartington in 1888. Everyone from Hartington and the surrounding area has a story of renting a tux or purchasing a dress from Globe Clothing. In 2016, the clothing store closed its doors and in 2017 it was lovingly renovated with a one-family loft in the upper floor and restoration of the building’s original flooring and ceiling on the main level.

Today, The Globe on Broadway boasts a modern, vintage-inspired feel that’s reminiscent of its Hartington history. The event space adorns original restored 20' high tin ceilings, gorgeous lighting, a relaxing lounge in the mezzanine that overlooks the main floor, and many original features to enhance its iconic turn-of-the-century backdrop.

The most important thing to me is ensuring that other people are seen, heard, and understood. As a designer for over 25 years, I design within the belief that we are powerfully impacted by the spaces we inhabit. Our emotions, outlooks, and levels of comfort are dictated by many factors, and the environments we spend our time in influence those things heavily. My goal is to hear you, see you, understand you, and to help provide you with an event space that evokes oodles of happiness and wonderful memories.

We're So Glad You're Here

To say I wear many hats is an understatement, but I am grateful for everything I get to do. I believe in creating an environment, no matter where it is, that is energentic, full of life and most importantly fun! I am a born-and-raised Hartington native and am passionatly invested in our unique and charming town. I'm so thankful to know so many wonderful people around the area and I'm excited to offer The Globe on Broadway as a central place in the heart of our town for any event you might have.
